ISL Support Workers & Relief Team

Our support workers are dedicated individuals who transform the lives of adults with learning disabilities every day.

From the crack of dawn, they are ready to greet the people we support with a warm smile and an encouraging word, setting the tone for a day filled with possibilities. Each morning starts with individual plans, tailored to meet the unique needs and aspirations of those we support. Whether it's assisting with daily routines, offering a helping hand with personal care, or ensuring medication is taken correctly, their attention to detail and unwavering patience create a safe and nurturing environment.

But their role goes beyond the basics as they can also find themselves supporting with foreign trips, hobbies and activities and even flying in helicopters!! They are there, cheering on every small victory and providing comfort during challenging moments. Their support fosters independence, helping individuals build life skills, pursue hobbies, and achieve personal goals. They celebrate milestones, no matter how big or small, with infectious enthusiasm.

Every day is different, filled with laughter, learning, and care. The bond they form with those they support is profound, based on trust, respect, and genuine connection.

In the role of a support worker, our staff don't just change lives; they enrich them, creating a brighter, more inclusive world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Day Services Activity Supervisors, Activity Support Assistants & Relief Team

Our Day Services Activity and Support staff are the driving force behind a multitude of enriching experiences, designed to ignite passion and foster personal growth among adults with learning disabilities.

With a welcoming smile and an infectious enthusiasm, they greet each attendee, making everyone feel valued and excited about the day ahead. Their energy sets the tone for a world where possibilities are endless and every day is an adventure.

They deliver a diverse array of activities, each one meticulously planned to engage and inspire. Whether it's a hands-on art project where imaginations run wild, a lively Zumba session where everyone can dance and sing, or a horticulture and farming project where the satisfaction of nurturing plants and animals brings smiles and a sense of achievement, the activity team ensures that every moment is filled with purpose and joy.

The activity staff are masters of inclusion, ensuring everyone has a chance to shine. They adapt activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of participants, celebrating every effort and achievement with genuine enthusiasm. Their supportive presence encourages individuals to step out of their comfort zones, try new things, and discover hidden talents.

Activity staff are not just facilitators of activities; they are a beacon of creativity, compassion, and inspiration. They transform each day into a tapestry of meaningful experiences, helping adults with learning disabilities explore new horizons, build lasting friendships, and celebrate their individuality.
