I am an educator, researcher and practitioner in special and inclusive education and the arts.

 

I have been teaching and researching in higher education for over 20 years. I currently teach at IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society in London on an MA Special and Inclusive Education and the Doctorate in Educational Psychology and carry out research work with policymakers and practitioners in special and inclusive education around the world.

 

I am passionate about widening opportunities and strengthening provision for children, young people and adults with different needs so they can lead fulfilling lives.

 

I grew up in the Hexham area and, after many years in London and the Middle East, returned with my family in 2018. I have been a trustee at Natural Ability since 2021.
