No two days in The Orchard are the same!
As part of the day farming team, a typical day involves driving the group to farms, community gardens, or various areas across the Northumbrian countryside to prepare for the day ahead!

On our gardening and farming days, the group is hosted by members of the community in private farms and gardens where they can help out. Activities can include land based skills, horticulture, environmental work and animal care.

handy person team

Our handy person service takes place twice a week.
We have various contracts with businesses across the North East including gardening, maintenance, litter picking and DIY tasks.
This give attendees a chance to participate in paid supported employment, learn new skills and play a valuable role in the community.
