TOWARDS INDEPENDENCE SUITE

Situated within the Coach House, the Towards Independence Suite is currently undergoing refurbishment and, once fully launched, will offer a miniature home environment.

This space is designed to provide individuals transitioning to Supported Living with a safe and welcoming area to learn essential life skills.
The suite will feature a cosy living space with a sofa/sofa bed, a small dining area, a fully-equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, and its own garden terrace.

THE GROUNDS

The Orchard is blessed with beautiful outdoor spaces, and both our attendees and Day Farming participants have exciting plans to enhance the grounds further.
On sunny days, attendees frequently enjoy the expansive lawns, where they have already created a willow sculpture sitting area, a rockery, and vibrant flower beds.
Future plans include developing an accessible horticulture area with raised flower, vegetable, and herb beds, as well as a sensory garden, making the grounds even more stunning and functional for everyone to enjoy.

Working with an old Victorian building can be challenging, but we are committed to making The Orchard as accessible as possible. Most of our facilities are on the ground floor and are wheelchair accessible. While wheelchair access is currently available through our rear entrance, we are constructing a new ramp to provide access at the front entrance as well.
Both the main building and the Coach House feature accessible toilets, however, due to space limitations, we are unable to offer changing facilities within them.
We also provide dedicated disabled parking spaces in our private car park for added convenience.
