How do i apply for independent supported living?
If you do not have a personal budget speak to your Social Worker about Independent Supported Living, you have a right to choose a provider and a right to choose who you live with and where.
how much support will i need?
Your Social Worker will complete what is called a needs assessment and they will listen to you and your family about the type of support you might need. They will then assign you hours of support for when you move into your house.
can i move from another local authority area?
Yes, we accept out of county referrals and have previously worked with Local Authorities and Social Services in London, Newcastle, Tyneside, and Redcar and Cleveland.
does natural ability accept private referrals?
Yes, whilst we are a commissioned service by Northumberland County Council, we support many people who have direct payments budgets or a private budget.
