Would you like to join a small team to provide person-centred care and support for adults with learning disabilities?
​
Based in Hexham and surrounding areas in Northumberland, we work both within the private homes of the adults we support and within the local community.​
We are recruiting for female support workers for one new service.
​In this role you’ll work with vibrant people who lead varied and active social lives. They enjoy getting out into the community and trying new experiences, as well as pursuing their interests.
A joy to support, our aim is ensure these young people continue enjoying life to the full. ​You’ll support their independence in all aspects of day-to-day living, enabling them to gain new skills and live as independently as possible.
The sorts of activities you will get involved in include:
· Activities outside the home including walking, music classes, visits to the cinema and enjoying the great outdoors.
· Supervising, educating and supporting with activities at home including cooking, cleaning, personal care and daily living tasks.
· Promoting health and wellbeing including administration of medicine, booking and attending medical appointments, encouraging healthy eating and keeping active.
Our roles are very varied and rewarding with no two days the same. As a support worker you provide a critical service in helping others to live a varied and rewarding life.​
