Are you fun, enthusiastic, creative, energetic and passionate about promoting inclusivity for adults with learning disabilities?

If this sounds like you then we need you to be an important part of Natural Ability’s ‘The Orchard’ team!

We are looking for volunteers to get involved with our new day service for adults with learning disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to support the development and delivery of an interesting and fun programme of activities such as digital skills, photography, environmental projects, fitness, social and community events to name a few.

As a Centre Volunteer you will be an important part of our new service, working alongside the staff team and the individuals who attend, to ensure that all interests are met and delivered in the most appropriate way for attendees. You will work as part of the team to create a welcoming environment of friendly, warm, fun and positive social interaction. You will help attendees to work on projects both indoors, outdoors and within the community.

If you’re aged 18 or over and have time to spare between 9:30 and 4:30 on a Monday and Wednesday please get in touch. This is fantastic opportunity to support an amazing group of people to learn new skills and meet new friends. It is also an excellent way to gain valuable experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, if you are progressing through a relevant education or career pathway.

About Us

Natural Ability began as the brainchild of one determined parent and her friend who was acutely aware of the gap in provision for her own son.  From there we have grown to provide support via independent supported living services, day services and provide an alternative education provision.  We provide bespoke support unique to the individual and believe that everyone regardless of ability has the right to make choices about how they live their lives.

Natural Ability aims to:

  • Support the personal development and autonomy of people with learning disabilities.

  • Offer work which is meaningful, productive, dignified and challenging.

  • Develop environmentally sustainable ways of living and working.

  • Ensure that people with disabilities are seen as an important part of the community.
