After big wins for both of these teams, Micah Allen caught up with Melissa Triebwasser of Frogs' O' War to talk the TCU O-line with Lucas Niang, match ups and more! The game on Saturday should be pretty interesting given the recent development that Tylan Wallace is out for the season. Micah Allen: How much does losing Lucas Niang for the rest of season impact TCU's offensive line? Melissa Triebwasser: It's a huge loss Jeremiah Martin Jersey, obviously, for a TCU line that has been up and down most of the season. Niang is a first or second round draft pick; a guy that can anchor an entire unit and makes everyone better. The only silver lining is that he has been battling injuries all season, and has been in and out of the lineup as a result. So other guys have gotten enough snaps to at least be comfortable. Saturday will be the adjustment game, but David Bolosomi is an experienced guy, and Quazzel White could rotate over from left tackle and be successful -- he has started some games this year and is a really talented young player Miki Ah You Jersey. What matchup are you most curious to see Saturday? MT:I really wanted to see Tylan Wallace and Jeff Gladney go at it, but if Wallace is indeed injured, then it comes down to Chuba Hubbard vs Garret Wallow. The insanely talented running back will give TCU's star linebacker fits, but I have a feeling they'll be meeting quite a few times Saturday. If Wallow can stay in his lanes and play for the stop instead of the big hit, then TCU has a shot of at least slowing Hubbard down a tiny bit. Maybe.MA: This is going to be a matchup of young quarterbacks, how do you see that impacting the game? MT:It's going to come down to which of these first year starters makes the least amount of bad mistakes. Duggan threw his first interception of the season against Texas, but bounced back well and played clean the rest of the game. He still misses seeing some wide open receivers and doesn't always make the right read in the zone run game, but his improvement has been noticeable week to week. Sanders has struggled turning the ball over, but is probably the best running quarterback in the conference, so whether or not the Frogs can keep him in the pocket probably ends up being the x-factor in how successful the passing game is for the Pokes. Both of these guys can be difference-makers with their feet, but I think it's the one that makes the most plays with their arm that leads their team to victory.MA:Oklahoma State's defense has had issue with running backs this year, do you think that impacts how TCU uses running back Darius Anderson? TW: If we use him. Anderson had the third most carries of anyone Saturday, behind Max Duggan and Sewo Olonilua -- and Sewo was the preferred back down the stretch. Jet has been so good when he's been given opportunities in 2019, yet the offense still goes away from him for chunks of time for no explainable reason. Anderson broke out against the Pokes as a sophomore in Stillwater and is due for a big game -- but whether or not he gets the carries remains to be seen. That being said, I feel that the Frogs will need him more in a tough environment on the road with a true freshman quarterback, and I expect a pissed off and motivated DA to deliver a really good game.MA: Speaking of defenses, Gary Patterson tends to roll out some good defenses year after year, who are the biggest threats on that side of the ball? Jeff Gladney is probably the best cover corner in the conference and one of the top at his position in the country. He's put together an all-conference season and is a guy that really makes the whole system work on the back end. The combination of Ross Blacklock and Corey Bethley on the interior defensive line is downright horrifying -- that's like 650 pounds of freak athlete clogging up the middle and making things miserable for a QB. I already talked about Garret Wallow, the Frogs' leading tackler, and a guy who can be a little hit and miss when it comes to making the big play or the big hit. And then on the back end, sophomore Trevon Moehrig has developed into a really great safety and redshirt freshman Ar'Darius Washington leads the team in interceptions despite being a rotational player.MA:What about on the offense? MT: Taye Barber getting healthy changed everything for the TCU offense against Texas -- he had 94 yards receiving and forced teams to try and cover Jalen Reagor one on one -- which didn't work https://www.whoutletstore.com/Jesse_Martineau_Jersey-67. Having a second guy who has speed to burn and can make tough catches allows TCU's best receiver to make plays, and Duggan's comfort level with both of those guys is improving weekly. We already talked about Anderson as well, who needs to get a chance to string together a few good series. And a guy that not many people know about but has been good in games TCU has won is Pro Wells, a massive tight end that has helped Frog fans remember that good tight ends are really nice to have, especially for young quarterbacks.MA:What do you think TCU does does to try and stop Chuba Hubbard? MT: Keep him on the bus? Food poisoning? I don't know, got any ideas?Really, this is kind of Gary Patterson's favorite thing, to face a super elite offensive player and see if he can figure out a way to contain him. Chuba is going to get his -- this won't be a repeat of last year in Fort Worth. But the question is can you prevent the big play, the long run, and the three touchdown game? If Hubbard has over 100 yards but averages around 4.0 per carry, I think the scoreboard favors the Frogs. But if he goes off for 170+ on closer to 6.0, then TCU goes home unhappy.MA:Prediction and a final score? MT: This isn't all contingent on the health of Tylan Wallace, but if he doesn't go, I think I like TCU's chances better. That being said, I have picked against the Frogs all week, and picked against them last week, so I am not changing what works. Give me the Pokes 27-24, in a back and forth game that comes down to a late field goal. I think it will be a fun one!Go Read Micah's side of the QA with FOW here.

New York PostThe future of 23-year-old Lonzo Ball has fallen under much doubt over the past few weeks https://www.uhoutletstore.com/Jack_Zergiotis_Jersey-45.With LaMelo and LiAngelo setting up a reunion in Charlotte Remon Young Jersey, rumors are swirling that the eldest brother, Lonzo, might soon follow them to Buzz City. But as plausible as that outcome might seem, there is another team in the mix for his services: the Chicago Bulls.Speaking on the upcoming free agency period, ESPNs Adrian Wojnarowski described Ball and the Bulls as an ideal situation.I think in a perfect world for both Lonzo Ball and the Chicago Bulls, they end up together. With Zach LaVine, Nikola Vucevic, and Lauri Markkanen, the Bulls have a solid foundation to build on.But after last season underwhelming 31-41 finish, it became clear that they need more if they want to become a legitimate threat in the Eastern Conference. While their options remain somewhat limited this summer, signing Lonzo Ball could be one move that moves the needle for them. While Zo is not quite star material, his playmaking and perimeter defensive abilities have made him one of the most sought-after mid-level point guards in the league.Unfortunately for the Bulls , hell only be a restricted free agent, meaning the Pelicans have the power to match any offer sheet that comes his way.For the Bulls to get him, theyll have to hope and pray the Pelicans are willing to move on. Otherwise, the young star wont be going anywhere.Last season, the former Laker averaged 14.6 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game on 41.4% shooting https://www.uhoutletstore.com/Jonathan_Pace_Jersey-79.

I'm not kidding when I say I check the FB Schedule website daily hoping for OSU football scheduling news https://www.tvfanprostore.com/Steven_Orr_Jersey-52. I also spend way too much time looking at other teams' schedules dreaming of potential match-ups. Last time, I looked at the teams OSU had never played before on the gridiron. This time I got to thinking about teams we have never beaten. Played, but never tasted victory over. It's a short, but rather historic list of teams.ACCMiami BIG Michigan Minnesota Ohio State PAC-12 Oregon SECFlorida LSUOle MissTennessee I'm not too surprised by the list. Minnesota stood out until I realized we hadn't played them since Herbert Hoover was in office https://www.tvfanprostore.com/Patrick_Wilk_Jersey-146. So, which of these schools would I most like a rematch with? 5. Minnesota – Sorry, but I can't stomach the fact that we've never beaten Minnesota. Schedule a home-and-home, face them in a bowl game, I don't care. They're not much of a program right now so we might as well win while the winnin's good.4. Oregon – I remember this bowl game. One the one hand, it forced Gundy to start making his teams tougher. I also think it's part of the reason he changed his practice policies and made things lighter for the players. Plus, it's Oregon. Who doesn't want to schedule Oregon?3. LSU – This has nothing to do with a rematch, and everything to do with the fact that every OSU fan has wanted to see this match-up ever since Gundy took over. Plus, it's the 2011 National Championship we should have seen.2. Michigan – It's just an excuse see to Harbaugh and his khakis in person. Can you image the conversation between him and Gundy? It makes me tingle!1. Ole Miss – Just beat them. Once. I've watched all three bowl losses. I'm tired of it Kwauze Garland Jersey. Just one win and we never have to play them again. So what do you think? Who do you want a rematch with and why?

It's high noon...Athletics takes financial hit: Like many businesses during the pandemic CJ Terrell Jersey, OSU athletics is having to figure out ways to make cuts in the budget. Unfortunately, that means employees taking furloughs and being laid-off. Athletic Director Mike Holder sent out a message saying the changes OSU would have to make as a result of lost revenue. "These cuts were painful and not at all based on performance, Holder said. "They are byproducts of the unfortunate situation in which we find ourselves. I am especially thankful for the coaches that had the protection of a multi-year contract, but still volunteered to participate in the pay reductions." Ten employees of the department were laid off on Wednesday. Sixty-six employees will begin participating in a furlough program, beginning Sept. 16. Another 151 employees will see a reduction in their salaries beginning this month. The salary cuts range from 2.5 percent to 25 percent with the department's highest paid employees taking the biggest cuts in pay. Josh Sills fitting into program nicely: Scott Wright of The Oklahoman wrote about what Mike Gundy had to say about new addition to the o-line Josh Sills. During his Monday news conference, Gundy had high praise about Sills adjusting to his new team. "He fits into our culture," Gundy said. "He enjoys living in Stillwater. He likes to hunt and do outdoor activities Austin Keys Jersey. His attitude, his willingness to be a part of the team, competehe's not scared to work. We're thrilled to have him. As part of the series of changes to keep attendees safe at games this season includes a service that will allow fans to have food and concessions brought to their seat as well as minimal contact drop off locations https://www.omroutlet.com/Luke_Altmyer_Jersey-143. "There is a lot to like about StadiumDrop, but what stands out is that it creates additional distancing opportunities with in-seat delivery service and the ability to create a rapid pick-up option at concession stands, OSU deputy athletic director Chad Weiberg said in a statement. Mike Boynton and the Oklahoma State Cowboys landed a second former five-star recruit through the transfer portal this offseason Ben Kopenski Jersey. Memphis center and American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Moussa Cisse announced his commitment to Oklahoma State on Thursday on ESPN. Oklahoma State beat out Florida State, Georgia, Cincinnati and Creighton for Cisse's services.BIG AFRICA2 percent from the field and 32.4 percent from the free-throw line last season https://www.oscoutlet.com/Calvin_Bundage_Jersey-116. Cisse's primary role with the Cowboys would be as a rim protector and energetic rebounder to pair with the scoring abilities of Avery Anderson III and Bryce Thompson. The real prize of Cisse's size and skill set is his shot-blocking abilities. He blocked 1.6 shots per game as a freshman and his skill set fills the biggest holes on Oklahoma State's roster. Cisse will likely slot in next to Kalib Boone in the starting lineup to give the Cowboys a more formidable frontcourt. Although Boone has made tremendous strides since arriving in Stillwater, Cisse will give Oklahoma State a more traditional big man and take away some of the rim-protecting responsibility Boone had to shoulder last season https://www.oscoutlet.com/Zeke_Zaragoza_Jersey-179. Six points and six rebounds doesn't jump off the page, but Cisse ranked just sixth in minutes played per game at Memphis for an average of 18 minutes per game. He also averaged 2.5 fouls per game. Cisse will need to stay out of foul trouble at for the Cowboys, but he has the potential to make a massive impact if he can stay on the floor. Matthew Alexander- Moncrieffe and Kalib Boone averaged 21 and 20 minutes per game respectively as the primary big men for OSU last season. Adding Cisse to the mix as the primary rebounder and rim protector should land him the same amount of minutes, if not more.

Three-pointers are often like a bomb going off. They can anhilate an opponent with in the matter of moments if the right team gets hot. For the Oklahoma State Cowboys they could not withstand a second half onslaught from the Michigan Wolverines on Friday night.Michigan nailed 11-of-15 in the second half from deep as the Wolverines beat the Cowboys 92-91 to end Oklahoma State's season."You go 11-for-15, that's hard enough to do in a gym by yourself," Oklahoma State's head coach Brad Underwood said. Cowboys finish the season 20-13, and on a four-game losing streak and have not won a NCAA Tournament games since beating Tennessee in 2009. One of the most prolific three-point shooting teams in the nation caught fire in the second half and when it came down to it, Oklahoma State was right there through the thick of things. The Pokes jumped out to a 27-20 lead with 7:25 left in the first half when Sophomore Jeffrey Carroll barrelled through the lane for the two-hand flush. To this point, Oklahoma State had controlled the entire point of the game. They were a step quicker than Michigan. The Wolverines had trouble guarding the slightly quicker Cowboys. Things change when threes start falling. Muhammad-Ali Abdur-Rahkman nailed a big one. Zak Irvin followed with another. When Senior Phil Forte, III fouled Abdur-Rahkman on a three-point bucket, the Michigan comeback had been complete. Abdur-Rahkman nailed the ensuing free throw to complete the four-point play, putting Michigan up 34-32 with 3:27 left in the half.Jawun Evans scored the earth racing down for a lay up, putting Oklahoma State up 40-38 with 37 seconds left, but Mitchell Solomon fouled Derrick Walton Jr. on a three attempt and the free throws fell through, putting Michigan up 41-40 at the break.Evans did everything in his power to will the Pokes to victory. The Sophomore scored 23 points on 10-of-26 shooting. He also dishes out 12 assists and pulling down seven rebounds George Johnson Jersey. Evans was responsible for 49 of Oklahoma State's 91 points in 36 minutes."We shot 55 percent in the NCAA Tournament and just lost in the first round, outrebounded an opponent 40-21 and you lose," Underwood said.Oklahoma State had 21 second chance points on 16 offensive rebounds, but Michigan's three-point onslaught and their ability to get to the free throw line was really a deciding factor.Though the three-point barrage saw the final score favor the Wolverines' school record Alexander Lidback Jersey, 16 makes, it was Oklahoma State who started the second half hot. They pushed it out to a 59-54 lead with 14:02 left. That's when Abdur-Rahkman and Walton Jr. found their stroke from deep again to take the 62-61 lead with 12:28 left.Michigan's three-point shooting reached it's peak with 9:12 left to in regulation as Michigan's Walton Jr. nailed a trey in the eye of Evans. Walton put the ball between his legs, created a little space and nailed the step back trey for the left corner. Michigan led 70-64.Leyton Hammonds nailed a trey, cutting it to a three-point deficit with 4:51 left, but Duncan Robinson counter with a three-pointer of his own to keep the Cowboys at bay.Despite all of the efforts in the end by Evans, Michigan flexed their muscles as one of the best free throw shotoing teams in the nation by nailing down the final six attempts to ice the game https://www.mwoutletshop.com/Women-19. For the Wolverines, Walton Jr. scored 26 points and added 11 assists. D.J. Wilson had 19 points and four blocks for the Wolverines, and Zak Irvin had 16 points and four treys. Abdur-Rahkman each had 16 points, including 3-of-6 from three. Both teams in the second half were efficient as they could be at taking care of the ball. There were only four combined turnovers in the second half. Oklahoma State only turned Michigan over four times and the Wolverines continue leading the nation in lowest turnovers per game.Michigan both scored and gave up 90 points in a NCAA Tournament game for the first time since defeating East Tennessee State 102-90 in 1992.In a wild turn of events, the buzzer beating heave by Evans changed money in a lot of hands as the spread was only Michigan by 2.5. Evans shot put the deficit at only 1, which Vegas lost a lot on that.Oklahoma State's progress throughout the season shows promise for next season. Underwood has relit the fire underneath the fan base once again. With a solid recruiting class due to land in Stillwater next season and the potential return of Evans, the future is bright for the Cowboys.

With five Saturdays of Big 12 regular season left, the race for who will play Oklahoma in the Big 12 Bullshit Rematch Bowl is still quite up in the air, but that's not going to stop us from pontificating on it just a bit as it seems there is SOME clarity at this point in the competition Parks Gissinger Jersey. For the sake of simplicity, I'm going to avoid discussing what would happen if we ended up with a scrum of teams tied for one spot with three losses. While that is a possibility and not one that is that far out of reach, I'm pretty confident that both participants will have two or fewer blemishes on their conference resume. We will start with Texas as they have no room for error Jack Mandryk Jersey. As I stated, I think the Bullshit Rematch participants won't have more than two losses each. Although Texas is good enough to beat either Baylor or Iowa State on a given Saturday, can they beat BOTH in back-to-back road games? Exactly, so we will end this analysis here and not waste more of your very expendable time.Next, let's look at the most likely participant…Oklahoma. They are sporting a spotty, but still undefeated record on the season. They have tested "losing waters" a couple of times with Texas and Kansas and have clearly demonstrated that we really aren't sure what we are going to get from them each week. That makes it interesting given that the Sooners must play the other three main contenders, all with good defenses and two with capable offenses. I would expect OU to drop one of these as they have been far too inconsistent week-to-week. Lay an egg with any of these teams and you're getting an "L" on the report card. That being said, I don't think they lose TWO of those three games, so I'm betting that Oklahoma is virtually a lock for the rematch even though it would be great fun of the most fantastic kind if they dropped two and somehow missed it. Now for the scrum with one loss…All three have Oklahoma, Texas Tech, and TCU remaining. All three have already played each other. It pretty much boils down to this…whichever team can run the table and NOT lose to OU is in. If all three somehow manage to get home with two losses, then the screwy-ass round-robin Big 12 tiebreaker scenario kicks in. Since these three would tie the "round-robin" portion of that scenario, it would fall to the conference rankings of the remaining teams to determine who gets in, and this gets a bit messy. If, for example, Texas and Kansas State are tied for 5th place, that tie will be broken by who won the head-to-head. If Texas beat KState, then the three contenders would be compared based on result vs Texas first, then Kansas State, and so on. However, if three or more teams are tied then the contenders are compared based on each of their collective records against the tied teams. If it goes past that then it would be comparing the point differential in the round-robin games between the three contenders. Since they have already played each other, we know the result of that…Oklahoma State +7Iowa State +1Baylor -8That's right…Oklahoma State is in a humongously advantageous but also vulnerable position. The gargantuan advantage is that the Cowboys have already played and defeated Texas, while both Iowa State and Baylor get the Longhorns over the next two weekends. The vulnerable position is two-fold…One…obviously any head-to-head with Iowa State is a non-starter, as would an odd three-way tie with OU and Iowa State. Two…OSU's offense is not dependable as of this writing, and very much puts them in danger of losing any of the other four games besides Bedlam, which most of us are rightly presuming will be a loss just because. Three losses will definitely knock the Cowboys out of contention.I haven't vetted every single tiebreaker scenario, but I think right now it's pretty easy to figure out what to root for… Simeon Barrow Jersey.a three-way tie with Baylor and Iowa State, a tie with Baylor, or a solo 2nd place finish.I'm feeling a bit ill now. This was a bad idea…GO POKES!!!

The late signing period officially begins today. While Oklahoma State's 2020 roster is mostly doneheck more than 70 percent of all 2020 players have already signedit's not complete just yet.OSU has officially signed 20 players; 18 high schoolers and two transfers. That leaves five scholarships available. So, let's break down how OSU's 2020 class will finish up.Jabbar MuhammadThree-star cornerback from DeSoto, Texas has been committed to OSU since April 2018 and is set to sign. According to Marshall Levenson of Pokes Report, Muhammad wanted to go through signing day ceremonies with his close friends Wednesday."I'm excited for Wednesday because I finally get to do it myself and sign with all my teammates here at DeSoto," Muhammad told Levenson. "I'm just ready to get to Stillwater to work, I'm excited the time has come."Muhammad will make potentially four cornerbacks for the 2020 class.Lamont BishopThe JUCO inside linebacker from Iowa Central C.C. committed to OSU on Jan. 29. He adds some quality depth after the decision by Kevin Henry to transfer. Even bigger; Bishop has three years to play two as he has not used his redshirt season yet https://www.mthoutlet.com/Seth_Smith_Jersey-145. Bishop had 39 tackles, including five tackles for loss, and one sack, and one interception and one forced fumble in 10 games this past season.Christian HolmesThe Missouri cornerback transfer will join the team for 2020, at least according to Chuba Hubbard. However, Kyle Porter of Pistols Firing said Holmes playing for OSU next season isn't official until it happens. The info I was given is that Holmes has indicated that he's coming to OSU and has signed a financial aid agreement but could theoretically still visit other schools and be swayed in their direction. OSU adding a transfer corner for 2020 is a drum I've been beating for a couple of months. At this point that's Holmes. But if he does decide to change his mind and go elsewhere, I would go ahead and earmark his scholarship for another graduate transfer DB.Running BackThe one need OSU has in this class that will likely go unfilled is running back.Technically the Cowboys did sign one in Zach Middleton. He's listed as a safety by 247 and Rivals, but will play running back at OSU, a position he played his junior and senior seasons at Bishop Kelley. With Hubbard's return for his junior season, OSU is set for 2020. But 2021? That's where things get concerning.Only three scholarship backs will return for the 2021 season; senior Dezmon Jackson, sophomore Deondrick Glass and Middleton. It will put a lot of pressure on OSU to not only sign a couple of backs in the 2021 class, but for one of those to be of the "immediate impact" variety.Final Two ScholarshipsOSU will bring in a full 25-man class for 2020 and has the scholarship count to do it. The question is, where will those other two offers go?If you look at who OSU has had on campus, the roster overall, and the offers the coaching staff has been handing out over the past week, you can deduce the likely directions they're headed Caleb Coombs Jersey. First is quarterback. OSU has three scholarship quarterbacks on the roster heading into 2020; redshirt sophomore Spencer Sanders, redshirt sophomore Brendan Costello, and freshman Shane Illingworth.OSU offered JUCO QB Ethan Bullock after a visit to Stillwater last weekend. While he has yet to commit, I would be surprised if he didn't.Wide ReceiverAfter that, comes wide receiver, a position that has seen an exodus during the past couple of months. OSU has four major contributors back in Tylan Wallace, Dillon Stoner, Landon Wolf, Braydon Johnson, but with everyone else unproven, it would make sense for them to add another one-off pass-catcher similar to Jordan McCray last season.LSU graduate transferand former four-starreceiver Dee Anderson was in Stillwater onMonday for a visit. That said, new offensive coordinator Kasey Dunn had some high praise for redshirt freshman Langston Anderson and incoming freshman Rashod Owens, so they may decide they don't need the help after all. This could change through spring ball if a major injury occurs or OSU finds a hole in the roster they weren't expecting, but so far adding a QB and a WR seem to be the direction they're going. The late signing period lasts from Feb. 5 through April 1, so if OSU is going to land another player out of high school or a JUCO prospect Immanuel Bush Jersey, that's the window in which it will happen.Transfers can sign whenever they like so I wouldn't expect this class to be wrapped up immediately, but it will sometime between now and this summer.
